Fair Usage Policy

RevsSpace Fair Usage Policy

Last updated: 15-Jan-2026

This Fair Usage Policy (“Policy”) defines acceptable and responsible use of RevsSpace platform resources. It exists to ensure reliable performance, security, and service quality for all users while preserving RevsSpace’s philosophy of unlimited creation without artificial constraints.

This Policy applies to all users, plans, trials, and enterprise customers unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1. Core Principle

RevsSpace is designed to allow users to create, capture, plan, and prepare freely.

  • No artificial limits are placed on:

    • Number of spaces

    • Tours or planners

    • Draft or internal content

  • Users may iterate and prepare content without worrying about storage during normal usage

However, unlimited creation does not mean unlimited or abusive use of platform resources.

2. When Usage Is Considered Fair

Usage is considered fair when:

  • RevsSpace is used primarily for:

    • Spatial documentation

    • Digital walkthroughs

    • Planning, inspection, or collaboration

  • Uploaded content is relevant to spaces, assets, or projects

  • Usage patterns align with normal human or organizational workflows

  • Platform features are used as intended

3. Storage & Resource Misuse

The following are considered storage abuse or misuse:

  • Using RevsSpace as a general-purpose file storage, backup, or archival system

  • Uploading large volumes of unrelated or non-spatial data

  • Excessive duplication of identical or near-identical content

  • Automated or scripted uploads that bypass normal user interaction

  • Upload behavior that degrades platform performance or stability

  • Attempting to circumvent billing, activation, or usage tracking mechanisms

4. Active Space Usage

  • Storage, bandwidth, and compute usage are metered only for Active Spaces

  • Draft, inactive, paused, or archived spaces are not billed

  • Deactivating a space immediately:

    • Stops billing

    • Disables shared tours and external access

RevsSpace may monitor usage patterns to ensure compliance with this policy.

5. Fair Usage Controls

To protect the platform and users, RevsSpace may:

  • Apply soft limits or throttling in exceptional cases

  • Optimize or rebalance storage usage

  • Temporarily restrict uploads or access

  • Request corrective action from users

  • Suspend or terminate accounts for severe or repeated abuse

Such actions are taken only when necessary to maintain platform integrity.

6. Enterprise Customers

Enterprise customers may define:

  • Custom storage expectations

  • Usage thresholds

  • Performance safeguards

  • Retention and governance rules

These will be documented in an enterprise agreement and override this policy where explicitly stated.

7. Enforcement & Remedies

RevsSpace reserves the right to enforce this policy at its discretion.

Where commercially reasonable:

  • Users will be notified

  • An opportunity to remediate may be provided

Immediate action may be taken without notice where required to:

  • Prevent service disruption

  • Protect security

  • Comply with legal obligations

8. Policy Updates

This Fair Usage Policy may be updated periodically.

Material changes will be communicated where commercially reasonable. Continued use of RevsSpace constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
